Normas Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Restaurant is a full-service dining spot nestled inside the Barclay Shopping Center in Cherry Hill Township. It’s a place where the rich, diverse flavors of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and North African cuisines come together with a clear focus on freshness and thoughtful preparation. This makes it particularly appealing to folks who appreciate Halal and vegetarian-friendly meals, as well as those seeking authentic Lebanese and Moroccan dishes.

The atmosphere feels casual but intentional, fitting well within a suburban shopping center setting without losing the essence of traditional Mediterranean hospitality. Normas works well for both a relaxed weekday lunch and a low-key dinner, especially if you’re craving something hearty and vibrant without the fuss of a formal dining experience. The staff tends to attract local regulars who value quality and consistency, as well as newcomers eager to sample something beyond typical chain options.

Diners often gravitate toward variety — the Maza House Specialty Sampler and Shish Kabab Combination are popular choices that give a genuine taste of the region’s classic flavors. The hummus and baba ghanouj come in portion sizes ranging from small to extra large, making them ideal for sharing or stocking up for leftovers. Vegan and vegetarian options like the Vegan Shawarma Combination and XL Fattush show how the kitchen covers diverse dietary preferences without compromising on flavor. Meanwhile, Norma’s Garlic Fries add a surprising local flair that can satisfy those looking for a familiar snack alongside their mezze.

The place seems well-loved for its generosity in portion sizes and the ability to enjoy leftovers later — something that locals appreciate, especially since the bread and salads freeze and reheat well. The friendly, down-to-earth service adds to the neighborhood feel, with staff members often going beyond the usual to make guests comfortable, including accommodating special requests and sharing thoughtful recommendations.

Best times to visit tend to be lunch and early dinner on weekdays, as these periods offer a lively yet manageable pace. Given its location inside a shopping center, it also works as a convenient stop for people looking to pick up meal deliveries or takeout, particularly if they want a fresh, flavorful alternative to fast food. There’s a small adjacent store where you can buy specialty items to bring the experience home or gift to friends, which shows how Normas extends its reach into the local community beyond just restaurant dining.

In summary, Normas Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Restaurant fits smoothly into the Cherry Hill dining scene for those seeking an approachable spot with broad Mediterranean roots, friendly service, and generous portions. It’s a solid choice for anyone wanting a flavorful, diverse meal whether dining in, taking out, or ordering delivery.

This place rivals the best Mediterranean food in Philly. Every single thing I ate was incredible. Both sample platters were amazing and were enough to feed 4 people, or in our case, enough to feed 2 people for multiple meals (the bread freezes and reheats very well). We even got an extra order of tabbouleh to go and have been putting it on everything. I'll gladly drive to the burbs just to eat here again!

A busy Mediterranean spot for lunch, with some pretty great food! The normas sampler was delicious. Make sure to get some extra pita with it! The pepper onion salad was tasty, I added chicken and was expecting it to be served on top, but it seems like a couple of random chunks of chicken breast were just thrown onto the side so it was up to me to incorporate it into the dish. Taste and flavors were incredible. However, service was a bit slow. A great place to stop for lunch outside of Philadelphia.

Thank you for always having fresh, flavorful food! Norma’s has quickly become one of our favorite local spots since discovering them this year. You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into every meal — everything is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. But what really sets them apart is their kindness and above-and-beyond service. Last night, I wasn’t feeling well and called to ask about soup recommendations. Ziad kindly suggested the vegetable soup. When I got home, I realized the soup wasn’t included in my pickup order. I called, and without hesitation, Ziad offered to personally deliver it — even though it was late and absolutely not expected. He could have just given me a credit or asked me to come by the next day, but instead, he went out of his way to make sure I had it that night. As I sit here today enjoying that same delicious, comforting soup, I can’t help but feel so grateful. That kind of care and customer service is rare these days. Thank you, Ziad, and the entire Norma’s family, for running such a wonderful family-owned restaurant and treating your customers like family. You’ve earned lifelong customers in us!

The Maza was arguably the best choice for our first time at Normas as it provided a great sampling of various dips and proteins. At the suggestion of our server we tried the Dubai chocolate cheesecake, which was a high point of the meal for individuals that enjoy sweets. Highly recommend and we will be returning to try more of the menu.

Normas offers a delightful taste of the Mediterranean, particularly excelling with their crispy and flavorful falafel, which was some of the best I've had. The baba ganoush was equally impressive, boasting a wonderfully smooth and smoky flavor perfect for dipping with warm pita. Their salads were a fresh and vibrant highlight, featuring crisp vegetables and a zesty dressing. The kebabs we tried were also well-prepared, with tender and flavorful grilled meats. Overall, Normas provides a satisfying and enjoyable Mediterranean dining experience
